HOW TO OBTAIN A UKRAINE STUDENT VISA 

All foreign applicants obtain their visa for Ukraine before arrival from the nearest embassy of Ukraine.

Ukrainian embassies are located in many countries from where international students normally arrive, but there are some countries where a Ukrainian embassy is not available but a huge number of students arrive every year from those countries.

In some cases they travel to other countries where the assigned Embassy of Ukraine is located, and in some cases agents take their documents and obtain visas for them, but agents should have an authority letter from the agency in Ukraine to help out the students, and for that they charge an amount.

NO EXISTENCE OF A UKRAINE EMBASSY IN THE COUNTRY OF THE APPLICANT?

We give here some examples. Let us talk about Ghana, as from this country many international students come to Ukraine for their higher education degree programs at Ukrainian universities.

GHANA

International students from Ghana come in very huge numbers every year for studying their desired courses at universities in Ukraine, and for this purpose they require a Ukraine student visa to enter Ukraine.

Before 2018, Ghanaian international students had been travelling to Dakar, Senegal, for their Ukraine student visa processing, but in 2019, the Ukrainian government set up its national visa center in Accra, the capital of Ghana, and now Ghanaian international students obtain their Ukraine student visas from this national visa center called VFS in Accra.

The required documents for Ukraine student visa processing remain the same as they were before 2018.

There is no Ukrainian embassy in Ghana, so the Ghanaian international students obtain their visas from VFS GLOBAL in Accra.

Once they have an official study invitation issued by the Ministry of Education, Ukraine, they submit their documents at VFS in Accra and obtain a visa.

Zimbabwean international students in the past traveled to the South African city of Pretoria and obtained their student visas, but now Zimbabwean international students obtain their visas in Harare at the Ukraine Visa Center VFS GLOBAL.

Cameroon is also a country from which many international students come to Ukraine for their higher education, and for them, the assigned embassy to obtain a visa is in the Nigerian city of Abuja, but they also do not need to travel to Nigeria for their visa. A long time ago, Ukraine set up its embassy in the capital city, Abuja, where Nigerian students were obtaining their Ukraine student visas, but in 2018, Ukraine set up its visa center in Nigeria, and now all Nigerian applicants submit their Ukraine student visa file at this center in Nigeria and collect their visas from them.

Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Sierra Leone

11: Applicants from the following countries must obtain their visa from the embassy of Ukraine in South Africa.

South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia

Zambian international students love to study in Ukraine, and they come in good numbers every year for their higher education in Ukraine at different universities.

Zambian international students are assigned the Embassy of Ukraine in South Africa for their Ukraine student visa processing no matter which course in Ukraine these Zambian international students want to study.

The required documents that Zambia international students prepared for the Ukraine student visa remain the same, and there is no change in them.

Once a Zambian applicant receives his/her Ukraine study visa, he/she may depart directly from South Africa to Ukraine or may depart from Lusaka, the capital of Zambia.

Indian international students in Ukraine always come in huge numbers, and there is not any national medical university in Ukraine where these Indian international students are not found. We may say that in Asia, India is the No. 1 country in sending Indian international students to Ukraine.

Indian international students before 2018 had been obtaining their Ukraine student visas directly from the embassy of Ukraine in Delhi, the capital of India, but in 2018 Ukraine set up its national visa center in India, and Indian international students now obtain their Ukraine student visas from VFS without attending the embassy of Ukraine in India.
